Brand Design Macro Technology set its target market on the small and high margin segments namely Mercedes and Traveler. Elite and Travelite brands were conceived in the first two quarters for sale. Both brands were designed as “entry level” computers to meet the needs and user patterns identified by customers and to test the demand of the market. However, market feedback indicated that both brands failed to meet the minimum requirements. This prompted the design of two new brands in quarter 3, Elite2 and Travelite2, which were improved versions of the existing brands. The company decided to stop the sales of Elite and Travelite in quarter 4 since they were poorly rated. However, the two new brands failed to garner a positive feedback from the market.
