Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso also known as Pablo Ruiz y Picasso managed to become universally focused in his own lifetime. ... Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain, on October 25, 1881. It was soon learned that Picasso was a genius, and taught him everything he knew. At the tender age of 14, Picasso passed the entrance exam to the Barcelona School of Fine Art, and by the early 1900’s Picasso moved to Paris, to be in the “capital of arts.”
Picasso early works in Barcelona include strikingly realistic renderings of casts of ancient people. Shortly before moving to Paris, Picasso was painting in his “Blue Period” (1901-1904). The “Blue Period” is when Picasso started painting entirely in shades of blue and his subject matter was appropriately melancholy showing emaciated vagrants and old prostitutes.
