My walk with Jesus started when I was born. My walk with him has been like a large extension ladder. I have been climbing this ladder since I was born into a Christian family. My large extension ladder is somewhat like Jacob’s ladder out of the Bible. I have been climbing this ladder of faith step by step. I took my first step when I was baptized on November 2, 1986. I took another step when my loving parents brought me to church. My parents go to church about every Sunday so you can imagine who went with them. My faith grew a great deal when I went to Sunday school after church. Sunday school was a big step for me on my ladder of faith. I keep learning more and more how much my faith meant to me through all the Sunday school lessons taught by all my great teachers. Sunday school was also where I first studied God’s word in the Bible. When I hit my first year of confirmation in fifth grade I took a huge step on the ladder of faith. Through the first and second years of my confirmation I learned a lot of what faith means and how Jesus wants us to use our faith in Christ throughout life.
