Storytelling is an art used by countless civilizations in years past as a way to entertain and inform. Storytelling has been a way for generations to communicate and teach. The Delaware Indians were one of many past communities who relied heavily on storytelling. The Indians have been known for many years as great teachers and entertainers with myths, folktales, and other types of stories. In my opinion, storytelling is still a very important part of our culture today, even with the technology that is at our disposal. Unlike television, radio, or the internet, storytelling allows for personal interaction between two or more people. With the society we live in today, it is very easy for someone to get lost in the countless technological advances that continue to grow with each passing day. While these advances are remarkable, I think that it is vital for our society as a whole to remember the art of storytelling and to incorporate storytelling with our lives.
