The Responsibility is in Your Hands, If You Haven't Lost Them A man wakes up with a bright light shining in his eyes. He doesn't know where he is and as his eyes adjust, sees that there are many people dressed in white around him. Someone comes over to him and says "Don't worry you'll be alright soon." The man has a confused look on his face because he can't understand a word coming out of the lady's mouth. As he slowly acclimates to his surroundings he feels numbness around his right shoulder. He goes to touch it with his left hand and as he feels around is shocked to find out he has no arm. Then it hits him. The factory he works at, the machinery, the accident. He has slight memory of the incident where his arm got caught in the machine. He now knows he will never have a right arm again. Everyone around him is talking but he doesn't understand them because he knows no English. With the sudden realization hitting him he sits back and goes into a state of shock. He awakes the next morning and immediately gets up to get back to work. The nurses urge him to stay but he knows that if he doesn't get up and get to work he most likely will not have a job any more. These kinds of things do not happen often but they do happen. Most people don't think about the immigrant workers (some illegal) that must endure horrible conditions to make that Big Mac we all love way too much.
