I felt that “Arm Wresting with My Father” was an excellent portrayal of not just a father/son relationship, but also the relationship I have with my dad. ... I am so lucky to have such a great father. ... My little brother and I would always have wrestling matches against him, but no matter how hard we worked together we could never beat him. Now my brother wrestles in high school, and like the father in the story, my dad tells him what he did wrong, and new moves he should use. ... It wasn’t until my dad went deer hunting with my uncle last year that I realized that he isn’t the young, invincible father that I always thought him to be.
