“The Three Faces of Eve”
“The Three Faces of Eve” is a movie about a woman with dissociative identity disorder. It was inspired by the true story of a woman named Chris Sizemore, portrayed by the character Eve White, who was played by Joanne Woodward. This movie came out at a time when not many people knew about the disorder and it served as an eye-opener for people who had never heard of the disorder or had misconceptions of what it was. Dissociative identity disorder, or DID, was formerly known as multiple- personality disorder. According to the DSM IV-TR, it is a dramatic condition in which two or more distinct personalities exist in one person.
