Elements of The Cask of Amontillado
I’m going to focus on two of the elements of “The Cask of Amontillado”, the point of view, and the theme. I thought that these two elements were the most important ones in this story. ... "The Cask of Amontillado," which first appeared in Godeys Ladys Book in 1846, is a classic example of the use of an unreliable narrator. ... Montresor knew that Fortunato could not resist the temptation of the rare Amontillado wine. ... "The Cask of Amontillado" is a powerful tale of revenge. ...
