Genius The book Ender’s Shadow was written by Orson Scott Card, best-selling author of The Lost Boys, The Folk of the Fringe, Speaker for the Dead and Ender’s Game. It features Bean, a tiny street kid with a mind far beyond anyone else’s. Bean was found on the streets of Rotterdam, a city where the older kids bullied the little ones, stealing their food, and twelve-year-old whores paraded the streets looking for work. Discovered by a nun who found that he was an incredible genius, Bean was enrolled in battle school, where he had better test scores than anyone else. He joined the army of Ender Wiggin, a child prodigy and tactical brain and helped them win many battles against other child armies with his creative strategies.
