Some of the governmental structures of these Native people were transformed after the arrival of the Europeans settlers. There are several similarities in the government and laws of these North Americans tribes and was often because of their life styles. Men were usually the ones that are in charge of the government among all five of the Native American groups except for the Iroquois and the Comanche. ... The Comanche women also participated in the government and some of them were chiefs. Women in the Nez Perces, the Cherokees and the Pueblos tribes were not allowed to participate in the government. ... Their life style was closely related to the formation of their government. ... The white part of the government is usually in charge of the warfare and the red branch is responsible for the educations. ... The war towns were responsible for the white part of the government while the peace town leaders were in charge of the educations.
