Keats uses the ode form to relay to the reader the emotion the speaker feels for a particular subject. John Keats has written odes praising classical objects like the Grecian Urn, he has also written odes on living creatures like the nightingale and even on a season “To Autumn”. This poem however is an ode on an abstract noun that reveals no happiness, and thus would not be normally seen in a positive sense. This particular stanza is important to the ode as it describes the subject matter to be an agent in the beauty of the world.
