ANALYSIS OF “ON OFFICIAL BUSINESS”
“On Official Business” is told from a 3.point of view narrator. The setting is dark and scary. There is a mysterious and a little bit fearful mood in the story. The story takes place on a cold winter’s night with blizzard and storm. We only see a hut and a quite large house in the whole story. The story is based on mysteries and unknowns. We have few characters with a little information about each. The characters are Loshadin,Lyzhin,Dr.Starchenko,Lesnitsky and Von Taunitz. Loshadin,the village constable, is a silent and a sad man. He i proud to be a constable but thinks that people doesn’t show enough respect to his job. He is also fearful as all the villagers because of the corpse of Lesnitsky.
