Singing – that is what I am passionate about. However, the type of singing that I enjoy is specifically combined singing, the songs that choirs sing. I do not like pop singing because they are plainly for entertainment and do not have much substance in them; neither do I appreciate individual singing because I find it quite boring and less attractive than combined singing. What makes combined singing appeal to me is particularly because of the way it is being expressed. Combined singing is definitely tough. Nevertheless, when it is well done, I can really feel the enchanting essence of the music which can make my hair stand on its ends. This kind of music can sometimes sound magical, making me feel very enlightened. I would feel that something is being brought out, though not knowing what it really is, leaving me in a sense of wonder and boundless craving for more… In my opinion, there are several essential elements of combined singing that causes me to have an overwhelming desire for. They are: emotions, stage presentation, bonding of the choir, and musicality.
