afdadfdaafdWHAT DOES AN EMT (EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN) DO? An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is a life saver. He or she is often the first to arrive at a medical emergency such as an accident or a sudden illness and the first to diagnose the problem and give aid that helps the patient survive until a doctor can examine and treat the problem that caused the emergency. EMTs are often assigned to ambulances, though they also have their own emergency vehicles. Upon arrival at a site where an emergency occurs, EMTs must quickly determine what has happened and the proper action to take to save the person or persons who need help. Their decisions must be made quickly under great pressure. They must then act just as quickly and administer medical help to safeguard the patient as well as they can until the patient can be brought to a doctor.Johnson, Lyndon Baines (1908-1973), like three other vice presidents in United States history, became chief executive upon the assassination of the president. He became president on Nov. 22, 1963, following the fatal shooting of President John F.
