Our station was situated on the furthermost corner of Reeves Park, directly in between some encampment of unknown royalty and the den of the belly dancers. ... As visitors to the Faire began to wander by, they were lured in by the seductive dancing. ... The dancers, adorned in elaborate costumes decorated in tiny gold coins, bells, and trinkets lure onlookers into their simulated harem. The dancers encourage them to dance along, teaching them a few basic moves. One of the dancers takes the hands of a young girl and dances with her. ... While a majority of the people that attended the Faire did so in period costumes, the belly dancers were definitely unique. ... These dancers were not dressed like ‘Genie’. ...
