Breath in, now slowly breath out! Did you know that everytime you breathe you are depending on a system that consists of many organs? ... As we breathe air in, we use the muscles of our rib cage and especially the major muscle that is called the diaphragm to pull air into our lungs. As we breathe air in, the diaphragm tightens and flattens which allows air to be sucked into our lungs. Then the diaphragm and the rib cage muscles relax as the air goes out and as this happens, the muscles do not work the just relax.
