Naomi Watts, who gave a great performance in Mullholland Drive, again gives a very powerful in 21 Grams as the widow of a deceased husband and two young children. ... Here, in 21 Grams, human nature is examined. ... The colour is almost black and white in tonal intensity throughout the film which really helps the sad storyline. The cinematography is great with the use of different types of film stocks for different scenes and great hand held camera work The Filmaker González Iñárritu’s focus is on the idea of morals and this movie has a lot of examples of morals and the characters’ struggles with them. Danger of anger, lack of compassion and loss of faith are some of the main moral issues examined in the film.
