Where did Charley go
Charley Quinn, the twelve year old protagonist, withstands several tribulations in the novel, Charley Skedaddle. After reading of Charley’s various problems, there was one I chose that I considered the most consequential. I believe that Charley running away from his home in New York was exceedingly imperative and affected the entire novel. I was initially introduced to Charley Quinn when he picked a fight with an affiliate of their rival gang, the Dead Rabbits. ... Charley was associated with the Bowery Boys, who wore red t-shirts and boots. I instantly knew that Charley was going to start some sort of trouble. After the one-on-one quarrel with Tom Bailey, Charley returned home with a black eye. Noreen, Charley’s sister, and Michael Demarest, Noreen’s fiancé, began to talk about what trouble it is for a 12 year old to be involved in serious gangs such as the Bowery Boys.
