populists and the conspiracy between governments and big businesses holding down farmers
Populist often charge that there was a conspiracy between government and bid business aimed at holding down farmers and workers, and that the federal courts were only the tools of banks and big business. Populist is a political party also known as the people’s party, it was formed in the early 1890’s out of the Farmers Alliance. This argument is not very convincing, the populist did not have many arguments leading towards evidence that the government and bigger business were holding back farmers and workers.
