From a scientific point of view, the movie is almost laughable. It is quite clear that no science textbooks were harmed in the making of this movie. But they did try and throw in a few scientific ways of looking at Evolution. The movie characters however did correctly state the number of bases found in DNA, describes the role of a catalyst, and use some basic high-school science.
