The shot I chose to discuss is where Lucy Barrows is dead in the bed of her house, and Cheng Huan is leaning over her bed staring at her. Before this shot we see Cheng Huan sneak into the Barrow’s household, while Lucy’s father, Battling Barrows, is inside another room of the house. Cheng Huan notices Lucy is dead in the bed, and leans over to look at her in disbelief. After this shot we see Battling come out the room and notice Cheng is in his house. While Battling is trying to get the ax off the floor, so that he can kill Cheng, Cheng pulls out a gun and kills Battling.
