De Stijl was not just about paintings, and where architecture comes into play, Jan Wils was a huge part of it. Born in 1891, Jan Wils was a Dutch architect who created some beautiful buildings for the De Stijl movement. Wils studied architecture at the Technisehe Hogesschool and worked as a draughtsman from 1914 to 1916. ... Shortly afterwards, he met Vilmos Huszar and Theo van Doesburg, the co-founders of the De Stijl art movement.
