They are very nice and seem to be well educated about the important of health care. ... Importantly, I think this project conveys 3 main principles: 1) to raise people’s awareness of the need for vision care; 2) to encourage involvement of more people in vision care program; and 3) to assist the public to identify their health needs and to develop the skills and strategies to obtain the resources to meet their needs. I think one of the processes of empowerment which enables people to take control of their lives is through gaining information and knowledge. People with diabetes are at risk of developing diabetic retinopathy, a major cause of blindness.
