As, for Kia she would have never thought that getting pregnant would never happen to her. We always think many things won’t happen to us till it happen and we have to have to face the reality of it. For Kia and her boy friend (who always used protection as stated by her) it had not worked out. At the age of only 16,she was confused. She didn’t know she was pregnant till she was three months down the road. The fact that she had not gotten sick and her body was functioning the same until she felt pain in her side that won’t go away. So she had went to get it checked out and found out she was pregnant. She was surprised at the whole situation and was also scared because she was going to be a mother and had no clue. Her mom, who’s dream was for her to finish high school and Go to college would be so devastated. So KIA didn’t tell her mother about it till her mother found out all of it on her own. It was a real heart broken moment for her mom who was so pissed. The mother confronts Kia when she find out. ‘’Oh my god I can’t believe this shit oh no this got to be a fucking dream of something’’ “But mom” “What the hell when were you planning to tell me when you were in labor or what” “I was going to tell you” “But when I just can’t believe this! What were you thinking”? “I don’t know ma it was a mistake” “What the hell you mean it was a mistake” “Am sorry ma” “Yeah like you said a mistake and mistakes can be undone tomorrow your going to the abortion clinic” “What? No! I can’t do that” “What you mean you can’t do it? Oh my god… I can’t listen to this shit any more” Kia goes to her room and slams the door behind her and her mom goes in kia’s room and tells her she’s getting an abortion and that was it and Kia couldn’t believe she had agreed to go down to the clinic all night long Kia was tossing and turning thinking about the argument and what she was going to do that morning.
