One of the major reasons heroes are held in such high regard is because of their bravery. Bravery is one of the many qualities that heroes possess. A chief example of our modern day heroes are firemen running into burning buildings for the well-being of others. ... ” (Anonymous, 184-189) Many times heroes are able to help others because of their larger than life stature. ... ” (Anonymous, 772-776) Heroes are often able to think on their feet and make quick decisions that enable them to defeat their enemies effortlessly. Heroes are very honorable and that is the quality that compels people to respect them.
