As you walk into the actually place where the play is performed there is two ways you can get to the front of the stage. ... Meet Me in St. Louis takes place back in the early 1900’s in St. Louis, Missouri. ... They have lived in St. Louis their whole lives and they do not want to move now. ... Mother and Father Smith also decide that the family is better off staying in St. Louis and they do not move to New York. In Meet Me in St. Louis this particular play was a musical with a little twist of romance and conflict.
