Death Penalty
Do I support the use if the death penalty in the United States? No, I absolutely do not support the use of the death penalty here in the United States, or anywhere else in this world. I believe that killing somebody by using the different forms of the death penalty accomplishes nothing, and is morally wrong. There has not been a single study yet that has shown that the death penalty acts as a deterrent to crime. In fact, the article “Talking About the Death Penalty” stated that the, “murder rate among states with the death penalty is almost double the average murder rate among states that don’t have it.” What is the death penalty suppose to do if it does not act as a deterrent? I do not understand how people can support the death penalty when they see and know that it does nothing but cause another person to die before God has a chance to call them.
