The proper platform and implementation of a new organization structure, followed by an appropriate comprehensive IT system may be the best way for Southwire to successfully collaborate their business expansion effectively and economically. Business Process Reengineering Expanding globally may require Southwire to implement a business process-reengineering (BPR) platform to insure success and work out any major issues that may arise with a new business plan/platform. ... One method Southwire could use to implement this BPR system in order to better communicate, coordinate, and meet customer satisfaction would be to follow a strategic plan of organization, key people, and measurable results. First, Southwire should choose a project manager for the reengineering of the business process. ... The project manager would then work with a team of Southwire employees of all segments of the operation. ... Next, the manager along with committees would spend time collaborating different scenarios and how they would affect Southwire. ... With the IT system in mind, some key questions need to be addressed: can/should we outsource, will we need to develop our own system, has anyone used a similar system with similar needs, and how can Southwire keep employees moving forward and maintaining the chosen IT system. ...
