Intelligence Douglas Lenat, who researches artificial intelligence, says that “intelligence is 10 million rules.” He is trying to gather a complete list of common sense rules about the way the world works, which he believes form the foundation for intelligence. He will use this compilation to create an artificial intelligence. While I don’t agree completely with this definition of intelligence, it is a good beginning for a definition. I agree that intelligence is a list of rules, but to be complete, it needs to be able to add new rules to itself.
