Your Guide To a Happier Family Review I have recently read a book for my Child Development class called, Your Guide To a Happier Family, by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish. I must tell you, it changed my whole perception of the responsibilities and actions of parents, and those around the child. Faber and Mazlish tell how the principles of child psychologist Dr. Haim Ginott inspired their own child-care methods. When I decided to take this class, I thought it would just teach me the significance of having a child. From the lectures in class and this book that I’ve read, my opinions have changed. While reading the book, it seemed like Faber and Mazlish were speaking from my own thoughts.
