Canadas Energy Consumption
It is morally inappropriate for Canada to have its present level of energy consumption. Canada is using much more energy than many other countries who happen to have higher populations. ... All businesses rely heavily on computers; most households have computers, televisions, stereos and many other appliances that consume substantial amounts of energy. People are aware that they are consuming high amounts of energy and that this has a negative environmental impact. However, Canadians are so dependent on this type of lifestyle, so nothing is being done to change excessive energy consumption. Canadians are wasting substantial amounts of energy on many appliances that are not essential for survival such as hair dryers, electrical toothbrushes and electronic watches.
