Are we afraid of choice? The numerous and frankly mind boggling factions of media are seemingly infinite. Why then does radio insist on having no choice? Oh sure many different musical genres make up airwaves from country to classic rock from talk to top forty. But drive anywhere in the good old United States and you will hear the same songs,you will hear perhaps even the same disc jockey,and more than likely you will a certian jingle. A jingle Americans have all become to familiar with. The beast called Clear Channel. In the 1950's FM was a new medium for which the public could listen to the radio. Many years FM was scoffed at and the majority of listeners continued to enjoy the AM stations that had been popular for 25 to 30 years.
