Leadership
Jim Collins in his book Built to last talked about the concept of Level 5 leadership....defining it as characters who channel their ego away from themselves into a larger goal of creating a great organizations. Their ambition is first and formost for their institution and not for they themselves. These are highly inspiring thoughts which have always been at trhe back of my mind in every little project I have been involved, as a team as well as a leader. There are different roles which an indivdual needs to perform while working in teams and every role is so important and critical part for the team dynamics.The societal set up in which I have been brought up adds so much to they way you think and behave as a leader and I could not agree more with the experience I've had as a team leader in the short working career of mine. Back in India, as a part of an assignment in my first job, I was overseeing the organizing of the first ever golf tournament sponsored by my employer.
