PSY 210 - Introduction to Social & Rehabilitation Services - This course is designed to acquaint students with the broad field of human services. Class activities provide an introduction to the history, legislation, philosophy, and applied services of major agencies, including vocational rehabilitation, youth services, employment services, and mental health treatment. Attention is directed to the characteristics of selected target populations and the qualifications and functions of counselors in various settings. Agency personnel from the area are invited to participate in the course each semester. 2. PSY 312 - Counseling Theory and Practice - This class is an introduction to the major theoretical approaches to interviewing and counseling.
