”The Conversation” Response Paper Essay: What relationship this movie has to our study of the 4th Amendment? (use characters, themes, situations, etc.) “The Conversation,” though not a riveting bone-shaking movie, covered many of the topics that we have been covering concerning the 4th Amendment. The plot of the movie followed a man, Harry Call (played by Gene Hackman), in his job as a private investigator. Mr. Hall is following a young couple, recording their conversations and their movements via camera. The 4th amendment does not give expectation of privacy to objects held out in the open, including the sound of one’s voice. As was stated in our Tampa 24 hour video surveillance issue, a person “may record what they normally may view with the naked eye.” Under this explanation Mr.
