Compare and contrast between the cast of The Great Gatsby

Tom Buchanan and Nick Carraway Upon the reading of “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald, I enacted upon two individuals, Tom Buchanan and Nick Carraway. They shared a moment in life. Despite their many differences, they shares a common goal of wanting more out of life. Tom Buchanan was a man of great wealth. His muscular built body gave evidence that he also was a man who believed in appearance. His appearance was what you would call a judgment toward his lifestyle. He lived a lifestyle of power and greed. He could never get enough. Quoting one of his remarks, “… It’s up to us who are the dominant race to watch out or these other races will have control of things”. (17) Tom felt that he must remain secured of his wealth.
