Sean Simpson February 24, 2004 English 100 M/W 9-11 Personal Essay Sometimes a person will have a place in their memory that will put them in awe from the rest of the world. During that time, theirs many more things then to think about having to do with that memory. Thoughts like what if I could be there again? Would things be different in my life today? Would my outlook on life be any different then it is now? I remember living in the country of Indonesia about 10 years ago. Even though my time in a foreign place was at a young age, many of the memories and experience are vivid and fresh to this day. My best friend’s name was Majho he was from Iran. His backyard reminded me of a jungle of vines, it was quite a journey to get through but finally reaching a peacefull waterfall. When I read the book, A Secret Garden, it reminds me of her overgrown backyard with chickens walking around and vividly colored caterpillars crawling on the branches.
