Discuss the construction of gender in Greek society as it is reflected in Greek art. Just like in any other society, art is a direct reflection of that society’s beliefs, practices and every day life. When it comes to the art of the Greek world we have gained, from its art, extensive amount knowledge of their beliefs and everyday life. Even though Greek society was in a way very ahead of its time with their philosophies, architecture and political system, when it came to the equality of gender, they still believed that men where above the women.
