Kim IL Sung’s Juche Idea was improvised in the 1950s for the purpose of cutting off the Soviet Unions influence, and as a means to purge his political rivals. Political rivals like the de-Stalinization movements which was raging in the Soviet Union after the death of Stalin, who had helped Kim Il-sung seize power of North Korea, and also criticism against Kim Il-sung was growing within North Korea for the failure in the Korean War. Because of all this complications the Juche Ideology is utilized by the ruling in Pyongyang as an ideological weapon to justify its dictatorship and hereditary power and as an ideological tool to achieve a Communist revolution in the South part of Korea. ...
Kim IL Sung ordered his scholars to come out with a new political philosophy for North Korea. But unfortunately for Kim, his scholars in the 1950s were mostly Marxist-Leninist literate that trained in the old schools of Communism in Russia.
