Decades ago a computer scientist’s dream was to connect computers to each other around the world. Now the dream has come true, and it is also now the nightmare of others. The invention of internet to helped piracy has spread everywhere. Movies, music, bootlegged programs etc can be accessed with a click or two. But one seems to be affected the most; the music industry. It all started in the year 1998, when computer programmers have created a program called Napster. Napster allowed users from around the world to share their files, which could be anything: photos, videos, music of any type. Napster became more popular by the day. More and more people stopped buying music CD’s, but downloaded it from Napster. Nowadays music on the computer is referred to as mp3 which is a type of music.
