A diary entry by Boo Radley
It was meant to be a usual night, I was going out for my normal walk in the dark where no one can see me, but I knew tonight was going to be different, I felt it in my stomach, I felt danger and discomfort, I knew that someone needed my help and I had to risk my life to save theirs. I made sure I had something to protect myself with and I grabbed the kitchen knife on the table and tucked it into my pocket. I was walking along with this feeling when I heard screaming, a scream which expressed terror and fear and I knew that this was the moment that I have been feeling. I ran towards the noise. Bob Ewell was attacking those precious children Jem and Scout and I knew that it was wrong, I knew I had to do something and I was just as scared as they were and my first instinct was to fight back and protect the children and that’s exactly what I did, I reached for the knife in my pocket and stabbed Bob Ewell and although it was so dark out and I couldn’t see thing it was like my hand lead itself.
