In this Book Hudson Taylor could be known for many things including: God’s mighty man of prayer and a man with the heart for China. These two ideas are key to what Hudson Taylor’s life was. He was not saved until the age of seventeen when he experienced a “joyful conviction”, when reading one of his dad’s Gospel Tracts. When Hudson told his mother the news he was surprised rather than her, for God had given her the urge to pray for his salvation two weeks earlier and she did so until she was sure of Gods answer was complete, and God had given her the answer and she knew before her son even told her. Hudson Taylor had this sort of motto where he would not get anything unless it was an UTMOST necessity, this included living space, entertainment items, clothing, food.
