Victor is liable for all destruction and catastrophe that resulted from the making of this creature and all could have been avoided if Victor had rationalized and reasoned before jumping into a project he was not prepared for. Victor, in an attempt at playing God, destroys his life, and the lives of many people he loved. ... The moment at which the creature gains life, Victor ignores the obligation he has to it. Victor realizes that it was his creation that took the life of William before Justine has been found guilty. ... ” (83) Instead of taking responsibility, or even attempting to save the life of someone so dear to him and the rest of his family, Victor pretends as if he knows nothing so that he does not seem like a madman. ...
