It is a fact that Goldstein was, at one time, the right-hand man to Big Brother, but since their beliefs were different, Goldstein was ordered to leave Oceana, although he still leads organized riots and speeches against Big Brothers government This closely resembles Stains exultation of Trotsky because Trotsky began to feel against communism and in order to have no opposition Stalin kicked him out of Russia.
