Time is a magician The concept of time and its perception has evolved over the years, but in functionality it remained the same. Because it’s the time and time is a magician. In this paper, through historical and societal perspectives, we are going to see how time has over the years changed our values and ways of thinking. According to Webster’s: “Time is a system of those sequential relations that any event has to any other, as past, present, or future; indefinite and continuous duration regarded as that in which events succeed one another? Time defines our environment, culture, beliefs, generations and ages, that is elderly, teens, children, adults, medieval to classical and prehistoric to modern civilizations, origins as a species, evolution, and natural selection. It gives the concept of the Big Bang, the distinct beginning of the end, the existence of the divine power, the time machine, the cosmic avenues, the earthy ventures, etc. It determines the clues to our ancestors, as according to Leakey (1992): ”Time is a machine that tells us much about our history and consequently our future. Are we descendants of Australopithecus africanus or afarensis? Is there a missing link? What happened to the Neanderthals? The answers to these questions rely critically on the accuracy with which the date of an artifact or fossil can be determined?
