The Hard Drive The hard drive is what I use to describe the trip I took a few years ago from Seoul to Mokpo in the snow, but that’s for another class. For this class the hard drive is a component of the computer that enables a user to save and read data. The personal computer hard drive, containing a hard disk on which data is stored, is usually installed inside the computer, out of sight from the user (TekMom 1).
