In summary, Plato’s idea makes sense in some parts, but when thought of as a whole, the Republic has a few logical gaps, as well as some amount of oversight of basic human nature. The Republic, while presenting a sound argument for certain facets of societal structure; gives us no rational, functional way in which to enact such a system of societal organization.
