Option B, Act I
After reading the first act of this play, I have noticed a few things. ... Stockmann will have a great impact on the people. ... ” I was surprised to see that over night the majority of the people have become aware of the pollution and are willing to support Dr. ... This would put people out of a job for 2 years along with paying higher taxes to pay for the repairs. ... Stockmann that work to stop the pollution on the baths should start right away before more people are contaminated. The people have the right to know that the water at the baths is unsafe and should not become ill due it. ... Stockmann has the support of the majority of the people right now I believe that in the following acts the mayor will receive half the support after the people find out how long and how much it will take to fix the baths. ... My predictions for the following acts are that the doctor will keep fighting even if he doesn’t have the support of the people and he will do anything for the truth to be heard. ... Even though the people had decided not to let the doctor read his statement on the baths in the meeting, I still don’t think the doctor had the right to saw what he did. “The most insidious enemy of truth and freedom among us is the solid majority. ... Stockmann to be “An Enemy of the People”. ... Stockman deserved to be called an enemy of the people for his comments on the stupidity of the majority, but I believe they should not have turned on him on the topic of the baths.
