Lorrane Hansberrys, A raising in the sun, talks about a family whos needs are not been met. Obviously each person has achieve or is missing different needs. These needs are based on Maslows theory, who called this needs "defience needs". This needs are organized by hierarchy and each one depends in whether an other need has
been achive first, so the other one can follow. ... Walters needs change a lot, because he sometimes may fill or try to fill his needs, and in contrast there are a lot of times where he is at the lowest level. ... (834)
This explains how even thought he has achive some of his needs, he is in desperate to achive the ones that follow and thats why he feels he needs a change to achive all his needs.
     
Maslows hierarchy needs, start from the very basic ones to the ones that a person can get having achive the other ones first.
