Summer Camps In the summer months, we offer comprehensive adult and teen summer camps including our Film and Movie Camp. AMC, the premiere 24-hour movie based cable network, and the New York Film Academy have teamed up to create a one-week intensive movie making course. As in all of the academy's workshops, students will have the opportunity to write, direct, shoot and edit film. The High School Film Camp is open to students ages 14-17. Each student will write, produce, direct, and digitally edit his or her own film exercise, and will rotate among crew positions when his or her classmates shoot. History and Philosophy Founded twelve years ago on the philosophy that a top quality education in filmmaking should be accessible to anyone with the drive and ambition to make films, we offer a variety of programs uniquely tailored for those with earnest desires to become filmmakers, directors, screenwriters, actors and computer animators.
